Tony S. Roman, 87, passed away peacefully at home on 23 June 2018 after a long battle with Myelofibrosis. He was a lifetime resident of Ventura County. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Carmen, daughter Mary, daughter Dottie, son Anthony, son David, daughter Nancy, as well as 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Tony served in the Army and was a Korean War Veteran.
Tony’s lifelong passion was “upholstery”. He was the first upholsterer on Point Mugu Navel Base until he retired after 35 years. He would upholster furniture, vehicles, planes, equipment covers and even the Air Force One plane of President Ronald Reagan. Tony loved to travel with his family making it a yearly event. He also enjoyed traveling to Laughlin, NV. with his wife for their birthdays. Nothing stopped them from getting in the car and taking off! Everything Tony did was for his wife, children, other family members and friends before himself. Tony was a man that everyone had only good things to say about him. He will be missed.
Dad would always say, “measure twice…cut once!”
